Go 4 Food is a chinese restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 212 W 23rd St, Chicago, IL 60616, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Really busy but food is super good. Wait was around 25 mins on a weekday during dinner time. Left a number and they called with a table ready. Order via tablet, food comes out really fast. Got the tea smoked duck, on choy, Hong Kong pan fried noodles, Taco bao, salt and pepper soft shell crab. Was expecting it to be heavier/greasier than it was. That crab shell was so slight and crispy. Was very good. Would definitely recommend. Taco bao as mostly cabbage and meat, somehow was able to eat it all. Must have tricked me into being so good. Hong Kong noodles were lighter than a ticipating too. On choy had a few peppers scattered throughout that had a burst of spice, but couldn't really tell what it was, it all looked so consistent. Smoked duck was with pretty heart pieces. Was sort of thankful some of it were half bone since we ordered so much. Single unisex bathroom with pull paper towels right by the door. Place takes card and cash. Not sure if recommend ordering so much like we did (was lighter than a tucupated but portions are quite substantial), but if you're local you could take it home.

I love this place! We were seated right away by our friendly waitress. The menu is huge and our waitress gave us some tasty recommendations. Right now, soft shell crab is in season and theirs is delicious! All the shrimp, fish, crab, vegetables etc were fresh and scrumptious. You can tell they care about the quality of their food and provide excellent service while also offering affordable options. I’m looking forward to coming here again and trying other yummy options. Come check them out!

Authentic delicious Cantonese cuisine with quick service! We went as a group of 7 and were so lucky to get a table walking in on a Saturday night. Ordered a lot of dishes and all are served so quickly and fresh. My personal favorite was the chicken soup and all seafood dishes. Also got a portion of roasted pigeon. So tender and juicy. Crab is also fresh and so was the veggies.

This restaurant seafoods are fresh and delicious. We enjoy Chinese New year menus. We order the whole crab , whole steam fish, big Oysters, clams, Chicken and black mushroom dish. Service is not good. I recommend for authentic Chinese food there. Street paid parking in China town.

I grew up eating Chinese food all the time, and I can confidently say that Go 4 Food is a true gem among all the restaurants in Chinatown. The dishes here are consistently delicious, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can just tell that the owner puts genuine care and pride into every plate served. This is the kind of place where customers are not only well-fed but leave feeling happy and completely satisfied. Highly recommended! I will definitely go back for those razor clams and for the biggest oysters I've ever seen!
